Well, here it is Sunday and the t.v. and the news is absolutely full of Palin. Once again the New York Times has a fine account of her "service" to Alaska :

An Arctic blast of action has swept into the 2008 presidential race, making thinking passé. Presidential candidates don’t really need to think; just intimidate.

The question is whether all this criticism and analysis is doing any good. Maybe we need to get back to McCain himself and see how close he is to Bush. Maybe we just need to present the virtues of Biden and Obama. But for now, I do think it would be a mistake to omit just what Palin represents.
